Farm-direct floral import, Andes to Miami.
SolTerra Trading Group imports fresh cut flowers direct from farms in Ecuador, Colombia, Holland, Thailand, Italy, and Chile. Our anchor lane — high-altitude Andean roses — lands in Miami within days of cut, a shorter, colder chain than the conventional import market.
| Origins | Ecuador & Colombia (core rose programs); Holland, Thailand, Italy & Chile (specialty & seasonal lanes) |
| Port of entry | Miami (MIA) |
| Cut to cooler | 4–8 days on Andean rose lanes, versus a conventional market standard of two to three weeks |
| Product | Premium roses, orchids, peonies, foliage, and seasonal focal varieties; solid and mixed-variety box programs |
| Programs | Standing orders, fixed-price annual agreements, spot volume |
Sourcing & standards
We buy at the farm, not on the Miami spot market. Every step between cut and cooler is measured, and fewer steps is the entire model.
High-altitude sourcing
Our supply comes from established farms in the Andean growing corridors of Ecuador and Colombia, where elevation produces the head size, stem strength, and vase life the premium trade is built on.
We concentrate volume with a small number of farms under committed programs rather than chasing weekly spot pricing — which is how we hold quality and availability through peak weeks.
Beyond the Andes, specialty and seasonal lanes run through Holland, Thailand, Italy, and Chile — orchids, peonies, foliage, and counter-season programs that keep the offer complete year-round.
Cold chain, measured in days
Product moves from cut to precooling to airfreight to our Miami entry on a fixed schedule. Boxes reach the cooler four to eight days from cut — while much of the market's product is still consolidating at origin.
That difference is not marketing; it is remaining vase life, and it is the number our buyers resell on.
Grading & accountability
Boxes are received against grade: stem length, head size, hydration, and pack count are checked at entry, and claims are settled against documentation, not memory.
Farms get paid on time and get honest receiving reports. Buyers get product that matches the invoice. Both sides of that sentence are the business.
Trade inquiries
SolTerra works with two kinds of counterparties: farms that want a reliable, direct U.S. buyer, and established volume buyers with standing programs.
For growers and export managers: if your farm ships premium roses or focal varieties and you want a direct relationship with a U.S. buyer — committed weekly volume, clear grading terms, and payment you can plan around — introduce yourself here. Include your growing region, varieties, available weekly volume, and current export arrangements.
For volume buyers: SolTerra supplies established wholesale distribution partners under standing programs. Distribution is allocated; introduce your operation and volumes and we will respond if there is a fit.
